Maria Timofeeva and Teodora Kostovic are scheduled to meet at the 2026 Guangzhou Open, a WTA hard-court event in China. The match is listed for 26 October 2026 at 03:00 UTC. Public records present a contrast: a WTA title-holder against a younger opponent still building her senior profile.
Maria Timofeeva: Budapest 2023 Title Run
Timofeeva, a Russian player, is best known for winning the 2023 Budapest Grand Prix as a qualifier. That run highlighted her baseline consistency; her Guangzhou form is not fully documented in public reports.
Teodora Kostovic: Emerging Serbian Profile
Kostovic is publicly listed as a Serbian player; senior-level results are limited in open records. Against Timofeeva, the match tests whether she can absorb pace and stay competitive in longer baseline exchanges.
