Cali ATP event pairs Chile’s Nicolas Jarry with compatriot Tomas Barrios in a singles match scheduled for 19 October 2026. The contest contrasts Jarry’s power with Barrios’s competitive baseline game.
Nicolas Jarry: Serve-First Power
Jarry is a tall Chilean player known on ATP circuits for a heavy serve and aggressive forehand. Public reports place him among Chile’s leading singles players; his game tends to shorten points when the first serve lands. In Cali, surface and conditions will affect how many free points his serve earns.
Tomas Barrios: Return and Rally Consistency
Tomas Barrios, also listed as Tomas Barrios Vera in public records, is a Chilean competitor with Challenger-level experience. His task is to absorb Jarry’s pace, return deep and extend rallies. The matchup tests whether Barrios can neutralize power through movement and consistency.
